About me

Born and raised in Japan.  Passionate about food, environment, cultures, craft, and good designs. Recently took up pickelball and enjoying it. Love to learn new things. 

 I have lived in a few countries , traveled nearly 20 countries, and encountered many cultural differences which always excited and intrigued me. Currently residing in the USA with a soon-to-be veteran husband and two kids. 

From a macro point of view, through my work beginning in my teenage years and dynamic lifestyle changes internationally, I gained a lot of experiences.

From a micro point of view, raising two humans and getting involved in their surroundings in the tiny world gives me insights.  Makes me realize cultures between people also differentiate as we are all unique individuals.

Through both perspectives,  I am who I am now and have the ideas of diversity, broad horizon and inclusivity,  teaching me to  empathize.  I strongly believe being empathetic helps the world become a better place.

Since discovering the world of UX, the more I learned about it, the more eager I felt to be a part of it. It is not only about design; it's changing for the better.
